Respect. Retain. Recruit.

Healthscope members have voted for their right to take protected industrial action.

Members can legally engage in protected industrial action when advice is provided by 糖心原创 via an EBA campaign update sent to members’ home emails. There are serious consequences if you implement unauthorised industrial action.

Members can start stage 1 protected industrial action from 7am Tuesday 28 October 2025. Check your 糖心原创 EBA campaign updates for more information.

Download these resources and pin them to your workplace noticeboards, add to your socials or distribute to colleagues. Organisers and staff will visit workplaces to distribute hardcopies of these materials.

Stage one industrial action includes a ban on sending emails unless they contain the following text (members can copy and paste into their own email):

Nurses and midwives at Healthscope have worked through the pandemic under enormous pressure. The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation is trying to negotiate a new enterprise agreement with management on our behalf.

We are asking for reasonable improvements to our working conditions, especially as our take home pay has lagged significantly behind the public sector health services and other private acute hospital providers. We are asking for safe staffing and workload standards and for these standards to be included in our enterprise agreement.

We ask for your support and understanding as we engage in protected industrial action in support of a fair outcome. See for more information
